Tarot of the Months: Autumn 2026

In Sekhem tradition, every month carries its own energetic signature, and in Autumn, those signatures are shaped by the element of Air: clarity, release, harmony, and the honest reckoning that comes with the turning of the year.
September: Justice
Justice is the card of clear sight and honest assessment. As summer ends and the year turns, September asks us to look clearly at what we have built, what has worked, and what we are still carrying that no longer belongs to us. This is not a card of punishment but of truth, of the scales finding their balance. In Libra season, Justice feels particularly alive: the equinox itself is a moment of perfect equilibrium, and this card holds that energy throughout the month.
Work with Justice in September by asking: what is truly fair, to yourself and to others, and what needs to be addressed before you carry it into the darker months?
October: The Star
After the honest reckoning of September, October brings The Star: hope, renewal, and the quiet certainty that something worth moving toward exists, even as the light decreases. The Star is not a loud card. It does not shout or demand. It simply holds its light steadily in the dark, and in doing so, gives you something to orient by.
Scorpio season begins in October, bringing depth and transformation alongside The Star's gentle illumination. This is the month to anchor your practice to something true, to identify what you are genuinely hopeful about and tend that flame carefully.
Work with The Star in October by asking: what am I moving toward, and am I allowing myself to believe in it?
November: The Moon
November belongs to The Moon: the card of illusion, intuition, and the deep interior world that rational thought cannot always reach. As the nights lengthen and the year turns inward, The Moon invites us beneath the surface of things, into the dreams, the instincts, and the currents of feeling that move quietly beneath ordinary life.
This is not always comfortable territory. The Moon reveals what has been hidden, including what we have hidden from ourselves. But in Sekhem tradition, this is precisely the work of late Autumn: to go beneath the surface before Winter asks us to go deeper still.
Work with The Moon in November by asking: what am I not yet ready to see, and what might be waiting for me if I look?
