Summer and Fire, the Element of Soul

Summer and Fire, the Element of Soul

2 min read

Summer's officially here and it's an exciting time indeed, the sun's shining (typically), the grass and flowers are in full bloom and nature is full with the chorus of growth and life.

This is the season of Fire, the Element of Soul, but what does that mean?

With the longer days comes great opportunities, Summer is the season to reflect whilst we stand in the light and can truly see everything around us. Now is the time to access the great energy that the element of fire gives us to enact the change we are looking for. It is time to leave behind and release yourself from whatever you are unhappy with, to step forward into the light and embrace the invigoration of the day.

Historically the sun has been revered as the bringer of life and with link to the element of fire it brings an essence of protection and illumination during the dark of night.

Significant deities include Apollo, Helios, Ra and Horus, all powerful energies of strength, courage and protection. Don't forget to step into your power and ignite your soul.

With fire by our side we can access the deep transmutation of negative energies into positive, think of a fire itself, warm and offering a soft glow, now think of the embers dancing off to the sky, how they mingle with the stars and find a home amongst the expanse of the night - this is what fire can bring us, especially when paired with your intention. Nature knows this too, the animals flourish into life, racing with the abundance of food and energy just as trees drink up the sunshine and grow - think of the grape vine, cut back to protect itself during winter and now thriving, growing and producing fruit. It is your time to do the same.

Try thinking of fire, of your dreams dancing up to the stars during your moments of mindfulness, you may also want to journal with these thoughts.
